Any scale airplane builders here? This is my first time here, and you guys don't have a sticky, so I apologize if this is an obvious question.

/toy/ mostly consists of toys made from media relevant to /co/, /a/ and /m/. Model Airplanes/Tanks/Trains aren't really at the top of the list for discussion. Which isn't to say that it's not allowed.

If there are airplane builders here they'll probably be few and far between. Though I did think we had a good discussion on model trains a while ago. The board is incredibly slow, I'd recommend that you bookmark this page and check back in once a discussion gets going.

I've been thinking about building some 1/32, 1/35 scale helicopters for a while now.

mostly so that my plastic army men have something to ride in.

I just recently started building planes. I build mostly 1/72 tanks amd a few mechs from gundam.

There's a gunpla/plamo thread regularly, which is mostly dedicated to gundam models, but I guess you could try to get some feedback there. Current thread:

Also, my first plane model I just finished yesterday. The T-50 russian stealth fighter. The kit included a base for in-flight display, so I closed the landing gear bays.

I assembled this Bf-109 a long time ago, with amateurish battle scarring added after some careless handling.

I've always loved russian fighters. I've been scrounging my pennies for Trumpeters 1/32 Su-37, but for now I'm working on some revell 1/48 jets I've got in my stash. Very well done model, btw.

So is the airline industry. And at the current pace, seats on domestic flights will be the equivalent of 1/144th scale by 5 years from now.
