Macross toys are FUCKING EXPENSIVE as hell. I really don't mean the basic fighter or Battroid figures, which aren't so bad. But I just can't convince myself to buy one of these when it doesn't transform. It's like buying a figure of a traansformer that doesn't transform. I was wondering if any of the fine people here at /toy/ knew of some good, relatively cheap but decent Macross figures that transform, and where I might find them.

I too would like to know this. I currently reside in Japan so if anyone knows of any places in the Kansai (Preferably Kobe, but Osaka is OK too) area. Let me know.

If you wait a little bit, Bandai is going to release a line of transforming 1/100 scale VFs, starting from the VF-25 series. They don't have perfect transformation though, you have to swap out some parts to change modes but it's better than nothing aye?

>>328797 Any idea on how much they're going to cost?
Jin Saotome !!FzmHa6yHrlu
>>328800 Apparently they're part of the Robot Spirits line, and costs around $50 a pop, still kinda expensive but not YAMATO RAPE MY WALLET kind of expensive I guess.

>>328797 >>328805 no, robot spirits and vf100s are different.
robot spirits vf25 won't transform, but will be a battroid action fig that'll be sturdy and playable.
vf100s will cost 50 a pop and partswap, but will transform.

I'm wondering if by "Parts swapping" I'll have to have a second set of parts handy or if it's just taking parts off and putting them on again in different places. I can't see the need for having 2 sets of parts on figures that large and expensive.

Wow that parts swapping is unncessary and awful. I might just stick with the Damashii figure, or get another one entirely.

Am I the only person who would rather have SDF-1 over any of the Valkyries?

>>329069 Thank you! SDF-1 kicks all kinds of ass. Even better if it transforms.
...And the TV show version where it still has the Daedalus and Prometheus Carriers for arms.
