WOW did I just get slapped around in /k/.

Anyway (copypastad from weapons):
I've found ONE (maybe two) airsoft guns that aren't designed to look like real guns. 100% fantasy guns.

Pic is a "Jing Gong Dragon Thunder Maul," which I don't think has any ties to reality. Are there more like this out there? Are there sites that don't have a single P90?

While that gun may not be real... saying that it has 'no ties to reality' is a bit much as the core of the gun seems to be an XM-16, and given the interchangeability of parts for that rifle, something like that is not inconceivable.

nice cosmetic mod to an M16 there. there is a website somewher that is completely written in moonspeak with fantasy airsoft guns modded on it. it had some cuthuluesque guns, as well as some ghost in the shell firearms, and a few from trigun... But for the life of me i can't remember the addy... sowwy :(

Based on the magazine, trigger group and retractable buttstock, that is merely an M16 or M4 clone with a shortened barrel and a crapload of cosmetic addons. It looks inspired by Masamune Shirow's work for lots of different manga including Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell.

His designs are ludicrously popular for airsofts, and you should to a google image search for "Seburo" if you want more.

Pic is of a gun called a CQB Type-0 "Raisen"

They are studies in ergonomics. Mostly by Masamune Shirow. They are quite feasible designs. And take a lot from guns like the P-90.

They are both bullpups. But yes, the comparison to a P90 is not very convincing. It's more similar to an AUG.

POSEIDON makes a lot of limited DIY shirow mods for airsoft guns. They also make a number of other kits based on anime guns, IIRC.

That's based on the Tokyo Marui FA-MAS. You can tell because of the trigger and safety, selector switch in the stock, and straight magazine.
