Pic Releated: Its a Clone Trooper (AotC) from the Saga Legends that I named Theta-269, after a NPC clone that served me well as a gunner in two missions in Star Wars Battlefront 1.

i just haven't been able to play with my toys as an adult after i had an emotional breakdown a few years ago. i don't know why, but it just happened that way. i still collect... but i don't really play with them. i pose them and customise them, but don't play with them like i did just a few years ago.

that said... when i was a kid i used to name all of my toys that didn't have names. all my stormtroopers had names, and any of the figures that were "faceless legion" type characters would get names.

my favorite play pattern as a child was taking a trooper and make him the star of the story. i'd equip him with the best stuff and have him go on solo adventures. if it was a stormtrooper, he's rebel against the empire and have to fight bounty hunters and other stormtroopers.

i miss being a kid.

Too many of my toys already had names printed on the packages, so I just kept using those and came up with personalities for them. This often lead to things like ignoring who the bad guys and good guys were supposed to be and coming up with my own factions. Bad guys were always the ones I disliked the most and good guys were the coolest ones.

Actually the only toys I do still remember the names I gave to were plushies. Although my favourite one had originally belonged to my cousin (who was at that point grown up) and I kept using the name he had given him.

Lego guys were named kinda after the fashion of Galaxy Quest, the main leader was "Main Leader", the only girl head from a pirate set was "Love Interest That's Powerless In A Direct Fist Fight But Her Piloting Skills And Gun-play Knows No Equal", "Engineer", "That Guy Who Will Betray Us", and "Red Shirt That Dies First".

With every other figure I just called them by there name thought I used them like actors Data could be an evil hitman trying to kill Ian Malcom who's trying to get Magneto to activate Devastator.
