First image of a GI Joe Resolute toy, and of course it's fucking Cobra Commander - we haven't even seen his animated model for Resolute yet, and yet his toy is the first shown.

Personally? That's fucking badass. Can't wait until these guys come out.

Oh, additionally, for anyone who doesn't know, Resolute is the new PG-13 GI Joe web cartoon written by Warren Ellis. Comics are coming out written by Larry Hama, and those will be included with new wave Comic 2-Packs.

Here's Destro's design from the series. It's coming in "first quarter 2009," and the episodes will be 5 minutes long.

He didn't make the designs, he just wrote the series. Don't blame him if you don't like the designs.

And in other Joe news.... I don't know if anyone's posted this yet, but here's a leaked image of a GI Joe: Rise of Cobra toy allegedly called the Rock Slide - no name given for the driver, apparently.

I like this, too. Looks fun, and the figure really doesn't deviate at all from the 25th Anniversary stuff.

Well you don't know if the SERIES is bad yet. I mean, look at it this way, you may not like Warren Ellis (I do personally, but a lot of people don't like the guy at all), but at least Larry Hama's helping him with it and doing the comic. That's gotta validate it at least a little.

At the very least, watch the series before passing judgement.

The movie toy is pretty old news though... but I hadn't seen it.

Plus the beard is red. Aside from his Tiger Force incarnation, Frostbite is traditionally depicted with either a black beard, or clean shaven.

Amazingly enough- It is. It has the movie team logo tampographed on it. You can't see it in that picture, but it is there.

Also, because it's a 100% mold reuse on the figure, it gives hope that the toys might be allright.

See, with his traditional look, the mask is either cloth, or a paintball style faceguard, and therefore is permeable to air. But in the movie, the entire costume is made of latex, and were that to cover the airways without deliberate cuts, Ray Park would suffocate.

I broke one of the cardnal rules of good figure collecting and it was going on ebay and buying these off a guy. I couldn't help it at least he seemed to be a store and not a scalper plus they should be here by mon or tues next week so you can't beat that,espically since i just had surgery and can't drive for awhile so my chances of finding them are nil.
