Hey /toy/

Just treated myself to an early X mas present. A Spyder Pilot ACS, and all the kit shown. Picked up off Ebay with a coupon for about $130 with shipping to TX from IL. Good idea, bad idea?

No, airshit does go in /k/. It angers them something fierce. If it was a paintball gun for Law Enforcement purposes maybe, but as it's for rec purpose /toy/ is better.

What makes a toy a toy? Is it the target age? Is it how much it costs? I can understand that certain things are obviously toys (action figures and what not). But certain things fall into a sort of grey area. If I wanted to this could go in Sports, because there's a Professional Paintball league. It could go in Weapons because Paintball guns are used as Less than Lethal weapons for police.

Just ask yourself, can you find it at a toy store somewhere in the world? If not, it's probably not a toy.

You have to go to a sporting goods store or specialty shop to get paintball stuff. Good chance it's not a toy. Some things like frisbees can be found in both, and those are the real grey area toys, but even then you don't see people posting frisbee or air hockey threads do you?

It's a sport/game, not a toy.

Most toy stores stock video games. on 4chan, they go in /vg/. We talk about NERF blasters all the time in /toy/. So why is paintball and airsoft so different?

It's decent, i bought one to mess around with / backup gun incase my Ego ever broke down.

You should have bought an ion xe/ Vibe / EOS from smart parts, they make way better markers than kingman / spyder ever will
