>>107131It gets cramped, though, and I'll be moving away to study at some university in Sweden pretty soon. As Åland is quite small, everybody knows who you are, and everybody kinda wants to keep others in check. People tend to fall in kind of a pattern, where you smile at everyone, but talk shit about them behind their backs (I guess it's because it's not that nice to be enemies with someone and have to run into them all the time), and there's a lot of gossip going around about whatever. For some reason many people here also fall into another kind of pattern where Åland is really all that matters. Åland is the centre of the universe and people are more interested in talking about their neighbours trip to Thailand than important events around the world and such. That's generalizing a bit though, but it holds true for many.
>>And what about the Island Games, you looking forward to that?Personally, nah, not really. Like I said, I'm not into sports, but there'll probably be a lot going on in the city at the time, so it'll be nice, I guess.
Uh, yeah, I seem to have written quite a lot, maybe even about stuff you aren't really interested in at all. Hope there aren't too many typos and grammatical errors.
Hmm, I'll tell you what, if there's anything more you'd like to know, I could add just add you on MSN Messenger or something, and we can talk that way.
