Pia, Thailand (general feel and peacefulness of that town)
Mergui, Burma ( some of the best food out side of Lebanon i have ever had, and great people)
Damascus, Syria (was treated like gold, good food, good people, amazing music)

Pidgeon Forge, Tn - (Disney meets the bible, meets 1930s america)
Puyo , Ecuador - ( dirty ass town, awesome monkeys)
Philly, Pen - ( shit whole, only good thing are the cheese steaks which will kill you)

if you're in a hostel and they advertise some "karst and winetasting tour" do it, but only because it goes to this huge underground cave. Largest underground canyon (you don't actually go to the LARGEST canyon, just an enormous one --> it literally is khazad-dum from lotr).

Special mention: San Francisco, love it but I like the above cities a teensy bit more I think.

Bottom 3:
-Miami (I don't know if it's because I had really high expectations but I thought it was a bit of a shithole)
-Olu Deniz, Turkey (not really a city but it's a trashy resort and I hated it. Nice weather though)
-Lake Havasu, AZ

Special mention: Budapest. I appreciate the architecture and food but it's one of the few places that I've felt really unsafe unless I was with a Hungarian person.

-ok as a "city" it's kind of terribl, but as visiting it's quite nice. The landmarks and architecture is pretty and pretty much everything that is awesome is free (smithsonians, hococaust museum, monuments, ect). I wouldn't want to live there, but as a tourist it's a great place.
2. New York City
-Fuck I went on a senior trip, all we did was go to the fucking times square and empire state building, but I was still wowed by some of the architecture and the overall feel. I can't wait to go again.
3. Ithica NY- I would say it was douchebaggy, as it's generally a pot/high paying college residence, but people are just generally nice here. The land is pretty, and there are some really nice parks in the area.

Iffy-Rochester, NY. City closest to me. Some great fucking food (and i'm not just talking garbage plates) but overall people there are jerks.

Niagara Falls, Ontario- place is a fucking tourist trap, completely raped to get all the money it can over you. But it's also the place of my childhood vacations so I have great memories of that place and love to go there again. If you want some nature shit i just suggest doing the American side as the parks are much better. it's still a good place, but I can imagine some people really hating it.

The Worst
1. Fucking Cleveland NY. The Rock and Roll Hall of fame was interesting (again senior trip) but other than that the city is a shithole.

I havn't been to enough places to hate.

As a Dutchman who grew up in Adam' I can tell you that all sorts of tourists come here, from whole families to Japanese tourist groups to Aussie backpackers to American hippies. If you think Amsterdam is only about smoking weed and whores you're terribly mistaken and pretty much failed history class. You really think each and every one of them comes here to smoke weed and fuck whores? Hell no, they come to visit museums and see some of the world's most renowned painters in history like Van Gogh and Rembrandt, eat fine Dutch cheeses, taste tasty Dutch beers, buy beautiful Dutch tulips, take tours around the many pretty canals, chill out in one of the many parks, going clubbing in our awesome clubs or to simply admire the insanely cute architecture.

1. NYC - Museums, shopping, sheer overwhelming amount of things to see and do. And New Yorkers have a great character. Only place in america where people walk around.
Cons- Can be slightly too much in height of summer. But then again, the variety of climate is also a plus point.

2. Stockholm - Clean, everything runs on time, yet it has soul too. People are very friendly (and stunningly attractive) and basically all speak english. Some great city architecture, then the archipelago has wonderful natural scenery. Food is great, too.
Cons- Everything is pretty expensive. However, everything is also of high quality, so you get what you pay for really. Slightly lacking in terms of things to do, as it's not a very big city, but there's plenty to keep you entertained for a week or so. More of a place to live than visit.

3. Berlin - Just fucking cool. Loads to do, cheap.
Cons - Not the prettiest place in the world, but it's got it's own charm. Some parts are a bit seedy.

Honourable mentions - Paris (tied with berlin tbh - absolutely gorgeous, loads to do, but people can be unfriendly) London (But fairly biased being my hometown, hence why not top three), Newcastle UK (people are ridiculously friendly)

Worst
1. Kissimee (i think that's its name) - Strangest place i have been my whole life. Basically a town owned by Disney, near the parks. To say it has no soul is an understatement, it's basically been built as like some happy place. People are so creepily nice and fake, all houses look the same, like being in a horror movie.
2. Oxford - Sure some of the colleges are quite pretty/impressive, but there are better examples of that sort of architecture (Cambridge/Bath/parts of London) Some of the rudest people i've seen, whether it's the snobby students or the snobby locals who wish they were students. Shops are shit, everything's just a bit too dirty or crap considering how expensive it is.

I'm just worried that a lot of people go there for the stereotype. The only reason why i wouldn't want to go is the stereotype (seeing being recognized by ameribros) and i'm worried that if you're a tourist you will be pretty much overrun by people going there for the stereotypes.

As i said, i think it sounds like a great city, but i'm worried about the steorotype.

1. Melbourne - I'm an ausfag, I have to travel and work there regularly and I have no idea why people consistently rate it highly. It's an crowded, grey, dirty shithole with far to many pretentious cunts and unfriendly foreigners.

2. Monte Carlo - Some sort of strange competition where crowds of people with too much money vie for the attention of crowds of tourists. Fake and grossly opulent.
