A lot of the locals who are against the military junta refer to it as Burma, actually. But I've noticed that some locals use Myanmar when refering to the land itself (I.E. I'm gonna travel to Myanmar), but uses Burma when refering to... Yeah, everything else, basically

If their regime is really that evil and everyone is against it, then why has there not been a revolution yet? It's a tricky situation down there, you see, Myanmar plays a pivotal role in the geopolitical battle being played by the West versus China. Even the democratic revolution in Myanmar is sponsored by Western money.

Now, I will never call Myanmar Burma simply because a bunch of colonizing scum named it that way. Also, history shows us that the neighboring Asian countries all have known Myanmar as Myanma and still use that name today. Wikipedia also tells us that "Myanma is the written, literary name of the country".

So, I'mma stick with Myanmar.
