Hey /trv/

My Friend and I are thinking about traveling to Europe for a couple months. We plan on going to list of countries for a long time be able to see what its like. After we finish we want to move to one of them.

So /trv/ is my dream even in the slightest resenable sounding, is there a better way to try to find a country to move to in Europe?

You're gonna have to imbelish a little more than that to tell if it's reasonable or not. If you're rich? Sure. If you're poor? No. Do you have experience in a field that will allow you to get a job easily? If so, sure. Do you even need a job to support yourself or are mommy and daddy gonna take care of you? Even better.

Just judging by your post though, I say no, you're fucked.

You can certainly travel around Europe to see the countries, but remember you are a tourist, living in that country will be a whole different ballgame. Not to mention to even consider moving from a non EEA/EU/Schengen country to Europe is impossible if you don't speak the language fluently, and don't have a high demand degree (examples include medicine, engineering, dentistry, pharmacy, IT, architecture etc. etc. - fairly high professions)

even if you're rich, these days you can't just spend shitloads of money and move to another country permanently. You could have a summer home there maybe, or live there for a year and then leave etc. etc, but without citizenship or a permanent work/residence visa, unless you're a wealthy British retiree moving to Tuscany, it's just not going to happen.

But yeah. Certainly visit all of Europe if you're able, a couple of months is plenty of time to see just about every country in Europe, or, pick a few countries that you've always liked and get more intimate with each of them. But like I said, remember you are still going to be a tourist, so you wont know what it's really like till you've been there for > a year or more.

It's a little naive to think you can just pack up, snap your fingers and move to another country these days. I wish it was like that, but it isn't. Still, reveal more about your situation, i'm now curious as to where this thread heads.

I would still go. I recomend Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Holland, Austria, and most people are automatically going to go to all the touristy western euro countries also (Belgium, Italy, Spain, Germany etc. etc.) but those are my top ones. Completely worth a few month visit, it's simply that moving there is now days very very difficult. you need to put in lots of work to move there is all.
