Dear /trv/,

I'm looking at transferring to a school in Australia next year with one of my buddies. Not international exchange or any of that shit, actually transferring there. Pic is related. How fail is this school? Should I be looking elsewhere for a good time/learning shit?

UWS is very fail.
If you want to go to uni in sydney, stick with Sydney Uni, UNSW, UTS or Macquarie.

I'm not OP, but I've thought about moving there, maybe for university. Do they have anything, in school or work, related to engineering? Specifically mechanical or electronic.

try get into sydney uni or unsw if you are set on sydney, but melbourne has two epic universities as well if you are considering it
granted i don't know if it's a bad uni, but it's not oxford

UWS will show you some, how should I say, interesting, members of Australian society. Before picking a uni its important to know what you want to study out here each university has different strengths (even UWS).
But for the most part UWS is a glorified TAFE.

I would be studying biology. Marine biology, biotech, medical science, all that stuff, I don't know what I'm concentrating on just yet.

I've heard the University of Wollongong has a strong biology program...is that true? Or should I stick with those big name schools.

Wollongong is a good uni it has a decent reputation and you could do alot worse. It is an hour to an hour and a half from sydney if that is an issue.

Sciences are good at UNSW and UTS. UWS is not horrendous but it does not have the same facilities or funding as the bigger unis.
