I never really come to this board, but I thought maybe you guys could give me some insight.

I plan to temporarily move to LA in a month with a friend, to try and find some work for the winter. If things go really well, i'll end up staying.

my questions to those with knowledge of the area:
is it easy to find bullshit work that pays well enough to actually be able to save some of it? or will i have to live paycheck to paycheck?

are the stereotypes mostly true? is everyone there generally a vain ignorant annoying fashionista with too much money?

what else should I expect?

any of your knowledge on the area is greatly appreciated.
