What are the best beaches in Australia? And are there any good ones near Brisbane?

I have been to Surfers Paradise once before but it was mostly a waterfront shopping district, and there weren't that many people on actual beach.

Try Bribie Island, and Stradbroke island...both close to Brissie. Surfers is shit. If you're will ti drive a bit, go down to Noosa. Best fkin waves.

I'd recommend the Sunshine Coast (Caloundra, Maroochy, Noosa). It's like the Gold Coast used to be before it got super popular and innundated with tourists.

Some of the beaches on the islands are great too.

I hate the cunts, but I have to say that Perth and West generally have the best. NFI about South Aus. Melb's beaches are great if you plan on never actually using them but just being around them; Syd's beaches are CUB* traps but the sands are nicer
