Ok, /trv/, what the fuck? I was considering going to Sydney for a vacation over new years and decided to check out prices for flights. I have the benefit of getting a deal where I get buy one get one free international airfare if I fly business or first class and I've never capitalized on it because I rarely fly far enough to warrant business class. So this time I decided to check it out hoping that one business class ticket might be around the same price, or even a little less than two coach tickets but... $12,736.40 is the cheapest business class ticket for ONE PERSON?!?! First class was $23,010.40 PER PERSON!! Does anyone EVER buy these tickets?

There are celebrities and jet setters with more money than sense who spend huge amounts of money just for the sake of spending it. It's obviously not worth it unless you're in very powerful, influential company and you're trying to impress them with a first-class trip to Dubai where you hang out and snort coke off high-class prostitute secretaries or something.

Um, Sydney to East Coast Economy is ~2 thousand dollars. Some business class tickets aren't even worth it. If you want flush, fly Emirates or Singapore Air.

I used to work for an airline call center and my favorite calls were tools like you who would ask for first class from LA to somewhere on the opposite side of the globe and then act surprised and incredulous when I quoted them a fare that cost more than their car.

Once I quoted a guy a $65,000 fare for some insane month long sequence of first class international flights. I was expecting him to laugh and hang up but instead he reads off his credit card number. I didn't have to sell any more tickets that month to make quota.

Man that job sucked, but people like op made it more fun.
