Ok specific question is specific but is it cheaper to buy ski gear in Australia or Japan?

Generally clothes in Japan are cheaper, but prices are usually up at the start of the season and the Australian Dollar is getting raped at the moment.

And in Australia, most of the stuff was bought when the dollar was strong and the season is now over, but Ski gear in Australia is generally more expensive.

Anyone know for sure I have no Idea of the kinds of prices I'll be paying in Japan and I'm working there all winter.
