I'm holding off dismissing 3D until I see how it runs under the higher fps numbers, since that theoretically should fix some of the issues I have with 3D (the strobing and stuttering, and blurring during movement).
However, I basically find the idea of having the focus constantly shifted and readjusted really annoying on the eyes.
I'm curious to see The Immortals, as Tarsem mentioned this being a huge problem for him too, and that he shot the film in a more tableaux manner with lots and lots of depth of field. It apparently made action scenes difficult to choreograph, and it's certainly not a style that would look good for many film makers, or stories. It could suit his more OTP visual style, which looks more like weird museum installations anyway.
