I personally love into the night and I think it's one of the best movies from the 80s.
The movie is such a classic and yet it went under everyone's radar. Almost nobody heard of it and it got a 6.* score on imdb.

Yeah, that scene added such layers of realism to the movie.
It's a real masterpiece. The whole atmosphere and directing are so awesome. It's like a movie from an alternate dimension when you look at it today because it is so subtle.

I love that the whole movie is basically a hitchcock movie translated to the 80s and done right.

Oh, /tv/ has jaded me beyond beleif, sorry.

Yeah, it's a very classy, neo-noirish detective story.

As opposed to, say, Body Double which is another great underrated 80's neo-noir, but it goes from a different standpoint, with full on sleaze and intentional camp
