"The Lodger" started out as a Tenth Doctor comic book, if I remember correctly, the plot being lifted and changed around some. I've heard this wasn't the first time a plot was adapted from an outside source (even going back to Robert Holmes borrowing elements from a film he'd worked on for "Spearhead from Space"), so there's a precedent set.
Question posed, then, is if there's any "expanded universe" stories you'd like to see reworked into a new episode in upcoming series? A Big Finish drama, book, comic, whatever?
Pic related, this was a brilliant little audio drama, Davros without Daleks, a rather impressive psychological study on the man. Seeing Matt Smith match wits with Davros would be rather amazing.
