All the bookfag spoilers are getting to me, so I've decided to become one, Any of you bookbros know exactly where the last episode left off in the book? I downloaded the audio-book and it's 33 hours long, I want to start from either where the last episode ended, or tonight's.

The episodes aren't ticking off chapters one at a time. It's not structured in a way that would work for that. Just start from the beginning. There's a lot (A LOT) you'll have missed, that was cut from the show but is obviously important to the book, that you won't understand later in the book if you don't. You won't regret it.

It follows quite faithfully for the most part, but there's so much more depth and room in the book that the show is more like a highlight reel of the best or most important parts.

You won't miss anything majorly important, but..then whats a point of reading in the first place? You could as well just read some damn wiki and get over it. The whole things about reading a book is to get more details, more insight.

Start at the beginning bro, it's worth it, also you will notice how much they actually have to cut out even though they are doing a good adaptation, everything is betetr explained in the books so you can follow things easier.

They've actually covered everything up to that point, though the show's plot will probably diverge after a while.

You can read the earlier chapters if you want, as most of the characters that left Winterfell in last week's episode don't go back there in AGOT [not spoilers, some stay in KL or at the wall] and you might want to read about how their relationships were, as they impact the plot later. It's impossible to get all of the depth of the book, but D&D [producers] are doing a very good job.

This. If you're only reading to find out the plot, then read everything on>>15826944because there's no point skipping a small section of a huge 4 part (soon to be 5 part) book series.

I love to read the books before seeing the adaptation of all movies I see, I tried picking this book up about a year ago, but lost interest, I watched the first 2 eps of show and it rejuvenated my interest,

But 33 hours is a good length, and if the show is already a good way in I'd like to start from where it is NOW.
