For those interested in pilot season and which new network shows will likely be premiering next fall, here are where some of the shows currently stand for chance of pick-up (though anything could change): NEAR LOCK Terra Nova (FOX) –>already picked up Touch (FOX) Smash (NBC) Charlie's Angels (ABC) VERY GOOD Exit Strategy (FOX) Weekends at Bellevue (FOX) Prime Suspect (NBC) Playboy (NBC) Good Christian Bitches (ABC) Poe (ABC)

>NOT GOOD >Alcatraz (FOX) – >JJ Abrams series >Person of Interest (CBS) – >JJ Abrams, Jonah Nolan, Michael Emerson series (too dark) >VERY GOOD >Exit Strategy (FOX) troll thread

Are you going to make one of these with the /tv/ equations like you did last year?
Robert Paulson !gOOdWlFE.U

>>15834511 nope. I'm just relaying and summarizing exactly what Deadline is reporting. They're just going off what the buzz is right now at the studios.
Also, why is Exit Strategy having a good chance of pick up indicative of trolling? I'd think a 24ish show starring Ethan Hawke and directed by Training Dad director Antoine Fuqua would peak /tv/'s interest.

Looks like an all-around bad season. Oh well, at least we get more Breaking Bad.
Robert Paulson !gOOdWlFE.U
>>15834545 I'm sure I will if I have the time, though not until August or September when the critic and early screening buzz has come in.
This is one of the most exciting pilot seasons in years. It's sad that a lot of the promising sci-fi shows aren't looking very likely to get picked up but it's at least nice that the standard procedurals aren't looking likely either.
I think I'm most sad about the Jason Isaccs' pilot REM from Kyle Killen, creator of this seasons' best new show Lonestar.

Untitled Liz Meriweather project and the uh, the one that Neil Patrick Harris is Directing with Larry Willmore seem interesting enough to take a peak at. Lots of shit about people's lives being overhauled when kids come into the mix, for a variety of different reasons.

Why didn't you include cable pilots in the list Paulson?
Robert Paulson !gOOdWlFE.U
Quoted By:
>>15834855 I didn't really include any info on the comedies mainly because a) /tv/ doesn't seem as invested in comedies and b) it's harder to tell what tone a comedy show will have until you start seeing footage. I don't remember much buzz at all for Raising Hope this season or Modern Family last season before they started, and they were the two best new network sitcoms of their respective years.

The "untitled Emily Spivey" project is from an ex-SNL writer/producer on Parks and Rec and stars Christina Applegate, Will Arnett, and Maya Rudolph. Wanna watch that shit

Robert Paulson !gOOdWlFE.U

>>15834922 because cable pilots don't operate as part of pilot season (meaning pick-ups and may and premieres in ~September for 9 month seasons). It's just sort of silly to include those since they're not really in contention with the network pilots and they are coming out at all times of the year. It's also difficult to find info on a lot of them or their chances of full-season orders.
I didn't make a Spring pilot guide like
>>15834630 simply because Spring shows could premiere anywhere from January to May, and most don't screen for critics until a few weeks before they premiere.

Robert Paulson, you are once again excellent. Looks like it could be good tier: Grimm, How To Be A Gentleman, Locke and Key, Family Album, Allen Gregory Looks like it'll suck, but I'm going to watch it anyway tier: A Brave New world What the fuck were they thinking tier: Napolean Dynamite cartoon
Robert Paulson !gOOdWlFE.U
>>15834984 Yeah I'm really looking forward to it.
>From Lost writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz comes the story of Snow White’s … daughter? In a time-travel story. Jennifer Morrison (How I Met Your Mother) stars as the daughter of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin, Big Love) and Prince Charming only she doesn’t know it until she meets a boy who shows up claiming to be her son who drags her back to a quaint town where fairy tales are real and time has stopped — because of the Evil Witch’s curse. The script is truly fairest of them all. http://www.afterellen.com/column/pilot-pirate-11 Anonymous
