If we take ugly people, bright colors, stuff from the early 80s, and absurd objects, badly photoshop them together, and add poorly done special effects. This allows us to keep costs to a minimum-- no paid actors, no real effects budget or props.
People will be so busy admiring our ironically poor quality that they won't even notice how formulaic we are. Plus, since everything we do is so simple, it is very memeable; it has definite viral potential. If people hate it, the perception will be that they aren't in on the joke. We can turn this into a lifestyle brand.
