The Royal Wedding dominated television recently, and it's well known Obama doesn't like the British, refused to attend the wedding and sent back a statue of Winston Churchill from the White House. I think he was getting so pissed off at continuing coverage of Wills and Kates romance days after the wedding that he manufactured a story that would usurp its place in the news and television.
