There's a male and a female sign opposite, so does that mean people in monogamous relationships rated it 8.82 while people in polygamous relationships rated it 8.65?

So, for example, Prom is listed as /b/'s favorite because they rated it on average 66% higher than people who do not visit /b/.

>>20459966 It's the films and show that had the highest percentage increase based on demographic or location or board or whatever. Obviously Breaking Bad isn't gonna show up there because no one demographic rated that an obcene amount higher than the others. So you get more polarizing movies/shows that might appeal to a specific group.
So, for example, Madea's Big Happy Family is listed first for non-white. That means that film was rated on average 78% higher by non-white people than by white people, which was the highest demographic percentage difference of all films, which is why it's listed first.
Does that explain it?

I love how a lot of the highest rated shows/films are never talked about on tv, and we get the same old threads about the same old movies (that apparently the majority of tv doesn't like THAT much). Would be nice to see as much variation on /tv/ as in these graphs. And I don't even like most of them, it's just nice to talk about something different. Also I feel that there's a lot of "oh it came out this year, let's not see if it lasts, but let's just say it's the best film I've ever seen because I liked it when I saw it last week! BEST OF ALL TIME!" bias in some people's votes, but that's unavoidable I guess, I just hate that shit. It's exactly why the imdb top 250 is fucked up.

these surveys are pretty cool and in-depth, but honestly, no offense OP, but I'm shocked and slightly disturbed that someone would spend so much time creating that kind of OC for a board as lame and underpopulated as this one.

The info is pretty interesting - I guess it's too bad there aren't more people here with a more diverse taste in films and TV, especially older stuff, since that would add more color to the results. My only suggestion, as a couple other people have said, is that it might actually make things more readable in the future if you simplified the amount of info you collect and display. It can be a little overwhelming. Thanks for all the OC though, dude, it was fun looking through it.

it was clearly the #1 show of 2011 IMO, since only the last 3 or so episodes of Breaking Bad were what I would consider 10/10 material That is pretty much the only thing I feel good about from this survey. The numbers make me absolutely sick. The TV and Film rankings are so horribly inaccurate I want to kill myself. At least all the top 10 films deserve to be there.
