>>1038875>GraymalkinThis character literally did nothing other than show up in the franchise just to repeat the whole Phat/Vivisector "Yeah we're gay but that doesn't mean we have to like each other" thing with Anole.
>KarmaCurrently missing a leg because she is hugely underpowered (no back-up power to telepathy, which is easily blocked in the X-books). Has been the most consistent punching bag in the franchise, going 30 years of constantly needing to be rescued and never solving her own problems, up to and including the multiple kidnappings of the two young children that she took care of (literally one time in a New Mutants Annual she wasn't even present for the rescue). Karma also holds the unfortunate distinction of being the only X-female who was successfully raped.
>MystiqueHas been hinted at taking lovers of both sexes in the form of males and females, however it is notable that the only times Marvel has actually shown Mystique in any overtly sexual situation with another character, it was with males.
>Shatterstar (X-factor, X-force)Homosexual insofar as he's physically a male, but Shatterstar's genetically-engineered species is not designed to have a preference. Actually a great number of Marvel's LGBT characters are actually non-humans, which I feel skirts the issue because it actually can make it seem like homosexuality is not truly "natural" to the people of Earth.
What we have is a bunch of LGBT characters in the X-books, but no LGBT characters that are promoted as being as relevant, competent, and powerful as the hetero characters in the flagship franchises. You either have them as fringe characters, in the fringe books, or as accessories to het characters for comic relief.
