Short story:
Sumika's father plans to make her the new guy's wife. Everyone now know it, except Sumika and Ushio.

This should finally provide some actual development, Sumika will have to grow some balls and make a nice coming out to her family...

So again we go with getting a guy in yuri relation just so he would speed thing up between main couple like we had with Harada in GF, Souma in KnM, and glasses guy in Octave...

I wouldn't be surprised if Kazama would learn this she would give up thinking that Sumi accepted the guy already.

Their relationship doesn't need any speeding up. Sumi just has to come out. Which is something the main characters of most of the series you named never did.

Coming out to the parents is quite uncommon in yuri manga, I don't see how you can see a lack of originality...

Whole Kazama character is something uncommon in a yuri manga, a character who openly is a lesbian and everyone knows about it.

For that SK have a big plus from me from start.
And if it will turn into Sumi coming out to her father even better.

So far Octave and GF didn't deliver too much in such direction.

I wonder if author will have guts to lead the manga further when Sumi and Ushio would become a couple, I doubt it, but I can hope.

Obvious way will be to end this with Sumi kissing Ushio for real and then the credits would roll.

Picture related is probably still my favorite page from the whole manga so far. The part from the same arc where her classmates realise she isn't some terrifying monster is good, too.

I especially liked the part where Sumi remembers how Ushio's real personality emerged after her classmates stopped being assholes. It's refreshing to see that being bullied won't make you a noble magical homo.

Yukino didn't need to come out. Everybody, especially her mom, figured it out on their own.

Only people she actually came out to were Kamo-chan and Mika. Her mom seems to be actively trying to support their relationship despite Yukino's reluctance to confirm it.
