As for the series you listed, most of them are late eighties/early nineties children's programs where he worked as an assistant director. I don't find it particularly surprising those works don't include much yuri. If you look at his later career, you have him working on Sailor Moon, Utena, Aoi Hana and Diebuster. He has done non-yuri work since (the nerve!), but he obviously has an interest in the subject. I'm cautiously optimistic about the new series.
