Cerebella's H Lock and Load makes everything do more damage. I only did about 3800 damage with my average Valentine bnb, but when I start it with Lock 'n Load I get about 5200 damage. That's awesome. I can't do that with Double butt or Cerecopter because it scales too much.

Is a joystick worth getting? I've been playing SF4, Blazblue, and the Skullgirls demo quite a bit lately, and while I'm getting a lot better than I was, say, in 2009, I still feel like my execution hasn't improved.

Are you playing on an xbox controller?
If you've been learning on a pad all this time then a stick could help, but more likely it would just set you back a ways.
I'd recommend looking at some fight pads if you haven't already, cheaper than sticks and probably better for you, personally.

A stick won't make you better and getting one will cost you $100+. It'll also set you back a couple months in terms of general execution. However, I made the switch to stick and find it much more comfortable and fun to use than a pad.

Oh, we can have a cosplayer talk about cosplaying as a character. It's all part of expanding the fanbase. If someone asks "who the fuck are you supposed to be?" then they suddenly become aware the game exists, which is good.

I'm pretty satisfied with how the story for Skullgirls plays out. You get intros, at least 2 conversations mid story, and a longer ending then a lot of games bother with, and nothing except Marie's intro scene are recycled for everyone else. Motivations for characters, basic hints at the world they live in, and the crazy tease in Double's ending, and this is just the groundwork for things to come. I guess they can add character profiles and a convoluted character relationship chart in later, but everyone had a clear reason for what they were doing and feels pretty fleshed out as far as characterization goes.
