>>11909478Pretty much this. When Pokemon Blue and Red came out I was in 4th grade. Everyone got into the Pokemon fad at my school. Majority of the kids who got into it didn't even played the game, just enjoyed the show, or maybe collected the cards because it was a fad status. Suddenly by the time I got into middle school, 6th grade in the Fall of 2000, when Gen II came out, everyone stopped caring about it. The pokemon fad status to disappear. If you still cared about Pokemon by that point, then you were a nerd/loser by average teenager.
Fast forward 10-13 years later, and now the same shitheads who ridiculed others for being nerds/losers are the hipster dogshits going "OH REMEMBER THE ORIGINAL 160 POKEMON LIKE BLASTERS AND MUNTWO? WHY DIDNT IT STOP THERE? STOP RUINING MAH CHILDHOOD"
