I set foot into the sandy ruins and blinked hard, taking off my hat and shaking my head, scattering any sand out back to the floor. The Pokémon outside here were pretty cool, admittedly; little red fluff-balls called Darumaka, small crocodiles called Sandile and I ran into this awesome looking thing that looked like a cactus. It was called a Maractus and it almost danced! My Pokédex was filling up nicely. But now, I was here, in the ruins; the Lost Ruins. I stared around and frowned, almost disappointed. This place was clearly not 'lost' enough since there were at least four other people here too. I nodded at each of them in turn and continued on my way.
My breath caught in my throat as I almost ran straight into a sink-hole of sand. I didn’t expect there to be sinking sand in these ‘lost ruins’ at all… but, I wanted to explore since that was my goal as a Pokémon trainer; to explore the earth and find every Pokémon that I possibly could. I stuck to the edge, near the wall, pressed up tightly against it as I made my way around it, walking slowly and calmly. Turning the corner, I saw some stairs.
The next floor was quieter, a lot quieter. There were no more people around but there were still sink-holes of sand. Walking past, I clutched at my black and blue satchel in one hand and tightened my grip, tugging my red cap down lower over my eyes. Sand was falling through the cracks in the ceiling. The place barely seemed stable. I began to get a slightly eerie feeling, like something was watching me. And there was. I heard a soft wailing sound around me, echoing throughout the barren ruins. It almost seemed 'cute'; it was high-pitched and seemed completely innocent. I stopped and listened hard. My brow furrowed as I focused.
