Naruto (the original anime, without the filler episodes) rocked. It also had some badass pulse-setting music.
Naruto (the manga, the story, etc) is a freaking fantasy opera going across several generations and countries. It's one of the biggest worlds I've ever seen come to life.
Bleach (the manga) is DBZ with swords. The world isn't nearly as big, no one dies, and has managed to achieve utter predictability.
Bleach (the anime, pre-fillers) is DBZ with swords and a couple of eery music tracks but overall wasn't bad. I for one enjoyed the 1000 litres of blood in every character gushing out.
Bleach anime (post soul society arc) is largely toned down, every fight has filler thrown into it, and outside of one. single. episode (grimmjaw vs ichigo finale) has been a dissappointment.
Bleach really has turned into DBZ with swords, while Naruto's plot continues to grow.
