America has a lot of problems, a vast portion of the population is uneducated, the health care systems are a joke, more money is spent on weapons and defense contracts on an already totally over sized and bloated military that on hospitals and schools combined. What would fix this? Should we vote for the person who promises more hospitals and better health care, or the one who promises to wipe out our enemies in the war against terror? as a whole terrorism doesn't really affect us that much, more people die in car accidents that terrorist attacks and the biggest form of damage to our society is fear, fear that leads us to vote for people like George Bush, personally i think that the no 1 way to fix America is "Education", school should not only be free, but mandatory. One problem with this is, the current supposed democratic government, if you can call it that, doesn't want people to be educated. i personally believe, call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, that the main presidential candidates aren't really running the country, but are in fact puppets. It doesn't matter who you vote for these days you have the same behind the scenes bureaucracy controlling everything. American democracy makes me laugh... the presidential candidates work for the same people and are just in it for the fame "look ma I'm the president", "oh just like your father" they will make anyone president these days, all they have to do is what they are told and take the flak, do u think George bush is intelligent enough to come up with any of these plans?? rhetorical question don't answer it. truth about American democracy is, it doesn't matter who you vote for you still voting for the same people, and they use popular media and charismatic leaders to herd the stupid average American to do there bidding, "thats why Americans will never be schooled and Christianity is so popular because its just another tool to control you!

You have the most expensive health care system in the world, while being quite low in quality compared to other developed countries. Swedens system costs about a third and has higher quality in almost all quality indicators. So stop with lying already.

>>26 Yes yes, the normal socialist propaganda, using the normal socialist statistics that are not reflective of the actual quality of health care.
Infant Mortality rates and Life Expectancy have absolutely nothing what so ever to do with your health care system. Japanese women have the longest life expectancy in the world no matter where they live for example.
Would you like a real example? How about breast cancer, an actual disease that actually has to be taken care of by actual doctors. The mortality rate in the United States is 25%, its 28% in Canada, in the UK its over 40%. Prostate cancer perhaps? How about 19% for the US, 25% for Canada, and 49% for France... And in the UK, over 57% of men diagnosed with prostate cancer die from it.

Nation deserves it's leader. Current American people deserve Bush, as sad as it sounds. When more than half of population wants to force their ideas onto others (anti gay marriage, anti abortion, anti stem cell research) they deserve someone like Bush to be their leader... If people just gobble up whatever media and politicians tell them without questioning it (WMD's there was much information about their non-existence in Iraq in alternative media) and vote for the candidate under who's rule there was more executions in Texas than in the rest of US COMBINED, just because he is a Republican and everyone hated Clinton, they deserve leader like Bush. If after 6 years, and a all the lies by the administration is uncovered there are no massive protests to impeach Bush and his cabinet for all the lie and deaths they have caused, that means people just don't care. In that case, they deserve their leader. Not all Americans are like that. Most likely most if not all of people who are intelligent and curious enough to read and write on 4chan are not like that. But majority of Americans are like that.

Never said entirety, just "majority". But it's Americans' own fault. Only ~ 33% voted... everyone who didn't vote, they are responsible too. And people didn't make a big deal of vote fraud (when exit poll was ~20% different from actual results in some counties in Florida) even though there was evidence for it, when they should have made a HUGE deal out of it.

So you mean that US health care is cheap if divided by area? Seems somebody is evading. And i did not realise there is netiquete involved when posting sources (seems most dont bother except the gunnuts). I think that just because this thesis (which is based on data collected and analyzed by WHO) does not support your belief you become more stringent. Cant you just for the sake of argument assume it is true, US has one of the least effiecient healthcare systems in the developed world, so we can discuss the causes of this and make this debate, you know, constructive?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>41 Honestly I was commenting on your debating skills, I didn’t find it to convincing for you to say "my arguments over there go read it">> does not support your belief you become more stringent actually I don’t have any concrete beliefs on health care, I was testing yours>> US has one of the least efficient healthcare systems in the developed world, so we can discuss the causes of this and make this debate - Not a centralist government, this puts the healthcare burden on the states, that on its own is a problem (not that I think it should be) - commonplace of malpractice suits, can cause downgraded, or down right refusal in area's where these suits run rampant, ask John Edwards about this - Refusal by politicians to reform Medicare.... yeah this is a pretty big one, Medicare is such a huge failure that many doctors would rather not see their Medicare patients nearly as much as they should because the billing is so terrible - Insurance companies setting standard payoffs for medical procedures, not a good idea.., especially when most insurance companies use financial stats without any medical backing to determine these, it also deters doctors from undercharging lower-class patients - lack of a good medical lobby organization, most "medical" lobby organizations around today are made up of department heads and insurance execs rather than actual doctors. -general lack of interest over healthcare reform, not nearly as much as a central issue as it should be

I love how people are blaming the American people for their president. It's kind of hard to make the right choice when you're fed only two choices, both of which look equally shitty and are equally lying to try to seem like they're the greatest candidates ever when theyre both equally corrupt self-interested corporate drones that in the end represent the same thing.
