This is one of the only things about this board that genuinely bothers me. How can anyone of you with any shred of seriousness pretend to hate nintendo?
Playstation and Xbox wouldn't even exist right now if not for nintendo, no video games really would at all if they hadn't pulled the industry from the grave. Not only that, but aside from creating a majority of the most recognizable and enjoyable IPs, they created handhelds as a viable game platform and have consistently produced the very best of them since (thank you Gunpei Yokoi, I don't know what kind of childhood I would have had without you), and on top of that they created entire fucking genres of videogames. Sure some of the titles are getting stale, but maybe thats because you've been playing them for the last 20 years? What about the children of today? Have you ever considered (you selfish selfish manchildren), that maybe it is a good thing that kids today are enjoying a mario similar to the one we enjoyed as children? I know its not very fun for us to replay the same sort of game over and over again, but what about all the kids that haven't played them yet? And even aside from the fact that some games are getting stale, they all still have that glorious nintendo polish that you just don't see from anyone else.
I don't know, its just a little depressing that Miyamoto, Yokoi, and all of those other fine gents that crafted such whimsical adventures for me and many many other children from my generation are getting nearly zero respect in favour of companies that blatantly rip everything off of nintendo. And it seems like the only thing they have that nintendo doesn't do better is army dudes, space army dudes, and general gun shootan at bad guys.
