As you may or may not know, Atlus' Parent company, Index got in some serious shit. Index basically pulled an Enron, and was found using an illegal barter called "round tripping" (basically inflating your share prices far beyond what they really are worth with several other companies). Over 100 companies were uncovered colluding with Index. Right as I type this, Jap feds are seizing assets from these companies, including index.

Atlus has said that they will still get out their scheduled games (SMT IV, and Dragon's Crown are the big ones). But beyond that, shit looks sour. Atlus' US CEO left the company months back, probably to avoid the incoming shitstorm.
Atlus remains the single division in Index that has actually made a legitimate profit. My question to you /v/, who is going to buy Atlus? Nintendo has a big time game, SMT X FE coming up for their wii u, they need to salvage it. Persona is the single reason why the Vita has sold more than 8 copies. Will square enix get their hands on them?
IT'S HAPPENING...
