I remember when they first came up with the idea, I don't remember what game it was, but I remember thinking, oh cool! Now I can save like $10 on the game since it costs them absolutely nothing to manufacture or distribute. Then when they announced the game was going to be the exact same price as a physical copy, I laughed my ass off thinking what the fuck are they thinking? What kind of retard would actually go for that?
Of course, I underestimated the laziness of neckbeards. It's worth paying for absolutely nothing if it means not having to drive to the store. If I wasn't going to get any kind of manual, box, CD, artbook, poster or anything, then why the fuck would I not just pirate it? And now because of these retards, games consist of a cheap case with a 12 page black and white manual and boring cover/CD art since the majority of gamers would buy the digital copy anyways, there's no point putting any love into the product or adding any goodies or anything.
For fuck sakes, one of Witcher 2's limited editions could be bought digitally, you got a fucking digital artbook. That should be included free with the normal game.
I mean, I still have a good amount of games downloaded from Steam, they have lots of great deals and not many stores stock PC games nowadays. But if I'm going to buy new or for the same price, then I'll always go for physical over digital.
Because I'm not a fucking dumbass.
