I noticed that these f2p people are actually people that rarely play fps games overall and play tf2 only because its free, i mean their skill is so low thats amazing. I started tf2 a couple days ago, just loving it, and it took me about a day to get a hang of game mechanics, maps layouts and some basic playstyles, and i run into people with several custom items that cant hit me once before i kill them.

Realistically, I never use the engineer's melee weapons for attacking. Shotgun clearly outclasses them, even on cloaked spies, so any help the melee weapon can give for my buildings is greatly appreciated. Also, I'd LOVE a weapon that made repairing of sentries repair them fully for the same metal cost, but doesn't give them more ammo. Would make them very durable during pressure, so long as the engineer can keep alive, but make the sentry (seemingly) randomly crack when on no ammo. Also, for obvious reasons, the sentry shouldn't be detonatable with this weapon. Or just a weapon that allows you to prioritise sentry health over sentry ammo as you swing.

The mini isn't very useful with the wrangler, does have the damage spam like the level 3, the pistol is just to useful for an assist. When i go battle engie i pop one down, switch between shotgun and pistol. Pistol for assisting the gun and crits when it eventually pops. The rape train has no brakes. Real fun when a shitty spy saps it.

Melee does have a higher chance of critting, but unless you're a sniper or a spy, you shouldn't be relying on crits. And CLEARLY a ranged gun is easier to aim with than a wrench.

you need to constantly hit something with the jag to make it build faster, so if you stop hitting building 1 to drop building 2, you've lost any advantage the jag gives you

the only time the jag makes an actual difference is when redeploying

each headshot you get makes it charge 10% faster until you get 7 headshots
a bodyshot decreases the headshot counter by one
a miss puts you back to zero

you need 3 headshots before it is faster than the default rifle.

to bullet jump:. Stand on top of your Sentry Gun, aim in the direction you want to go, crouch-jump and fire. Your bullets should propel you high into the air. Most bullet jumps fail because you aim too low and fire the gun beneath you, or because the angle of the Sentry Gun's fire isn't pushing you up fast enough to overcome gravity.

The easy method is to wrangle your level 3 Sentry and fire rockets at your feet while you crouch-jump. Since the Engineer receives no self-damage resistance, he loses a great deal of health but flies very far. Landing spots must be chosen carefully.

The hard method allows the Engineer to jump and carry his Sentry with him. You must fire the rockets, switch away from the Wrangler and pack-up the Sentry before the jump carries you out of range.

RL or DH, they are equally good in different situations and overall sidegrades.
Black Box if you plan get on a point and want to make yourself a bit more durable.

Shotgun, always.

Sometimes medics just latch onto me the whole game and die repeatedly and I feel so bad for them. They must think I'm a retard pyro or something. If I see an enemy medic, I will kill him. No exceptions. I may not survive but that medic WILL die.

the backburner gets autocrits from behind, which is often impractical to do and only has 4 airblasts before you are out of ammo

the degreaser lets you kill people with the axtinguisher almost as quickly as backcrits but from ANY angle, and has more airblasts to boot with the minor drawback of less afterburn damage

afterburn is only useful for getting crits with the axtinguisher or flaregun

I find myself using a lot of the pyro weapons depending on game type, map, what I plan on doing and how good/bad the enemy team is. The only thing that really ruins my day is a good soldier though because I'm not very good at airblasting yet. I can airblast all 4 rockets back at him and he still kills me with the freakin shotgun.

1) It encourages w+m1 playing style.
2) Pyro gets reduced to spychecking and killing people with the flamethrower. That means no rocket, grenades or sticky reflections, no ubercharge neutralizing, no putting off teammates, etc.
3) Sometimes the hit detection fucks up and pyro crits you from the front.

Engineers used to be those guys who could siege up positions and hold the fort
Spies used to be instant death or skilled play.
Heavies used to be close-range monsters and tanks who would die instantly without support or situational awareness
snipers used to be good as a result of skill or useless, never random
pyro used to be fucking useless

engineers now carry two instant sentries with massive range and RoF, that they can throw down anywhere and run away for free kills
Spies now have an immortality button and powerful guns
Heavies have been given a weapon for every class or player flaw. instant spinup, instant health, instant retreat.
snipers now get to sacrifice all skill for a random chance of killing someone
pyro is still worthless in combat but now he's unbelievably obnoxious too

the worst part? along with medics, these classes are now the only ones played. Soldier, demoman, and scout are unheard of.

Let's say you're playing classic Sticky Jumper + Caber.

If you don't have the booties, then the combination of fall damage, blast damage, and fall damage again is almost certain to kill you.
