I still remember how to do it. Go east from the bike path until you run into a specific trainer. Quickly hit start and fly to Cerulean when you see the ! over his head. Go up and battle the youngster with the slowpoke at the end of nugget bridge. After you beat him, fly to lavender. Walk west out of the city and you'll start menu will pop up. Close it and it'll pop up again. After you close it the second time, a level 7 Mew that only knows pound and transform will battle you.

Being 100% serious here.

I have man, but I just can't connect to it. The battle music is awful, the rivals are kind for some stupid reason, and the pokemon designs are ridiculous.

Arguably the last 2 could be due to nostalgia goggles, but the music is definitely shit. Whatever the reason is, I just can't seem to like the game.

Its not the nostalgia goggles, go have a good hard look at the original 150 designs and then the black/white ones.

Its probably a combinations of the art style evolving from simplistic to overly detailed, the designers of today's mons aren't the same as the RB designers and they're running out of ideas.

That isn't to say there aren't good designs in there, there are very good ones, but some of them are fucking terrible.

I actually told people about this because I brought some rattlesnake eggs (the magnetic oblong shapes that make noise if you throw them in the air) to school and was playing with it in computer class. Made one desktop completely useless, though they never found out it was me. I had a brainwave after that when I realized Digimon was just data and that Magnemite was a magnet-based pokemon.

shinyness is based of their inherited stats so you are half way there since it reduces the number of possible outcomes, still like 1/100 but it is better.
