>>122024735Yes, but that's besides the point. I've gone to great lengths analyzing games (such as Tetris or World of Warcraft) to prove that you can do much better than just say "game is fun". As a result, I've become more analytical when it comes to video games, discovered a lot of things about game design and so forth, and none of this would have happened if someone hadn't made that fateful post.
Hell, you might even say that understanding the design better allows you to find enjoyment from well-designed features that you'd otherwise find very dull (what it is trying to be rather than what it actually is) or to just appreciate well crafted games.
