Just a few recent games off the top of my head, there's many more to be found:
Daedalic has the Whispered World, A New Beginning, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout.
Autumn Moon, a bunch of former Lucasarts employees, has A Vampyre Story and the lesser quality Ghost Pirates of Vojuu Island.
Animation Art's "Lost Horizon" is very good and is reminiscent of the High Road to China and the early Indiana Jones movies/games, complete with World travel, mystical energies and Nazis.
King Arts has "The Book of Unwritten Tales" which I found to be just "okay". Too many WoW jokes for my taste.
Pendulo is still putting out the Runaway series and a few other games like The Next Big Thing.
Kaptain Brawe: a Brawe New World was pretty fun for what it was.
Darkling Room has the Dark Fall series and the recent horror "The Lost Crown: A ghost hunting Adventure".
For the DS (all of which are emulatable) there are quite a few releases but the ones that really stand out are Ghost Trick, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and it's sequel The Lost Window: The Secret of Cape West.
There's also the King's Quest and Quest for Glory remakes from AGD Interactive, the Space Quest remake from Infamous Adventures as well as the enjoyable A Tale of Two Kingdoms from the freeware community.
Some stuff on the way: A Vampyre Story Episode 2, Journey Down: Over the Edge and Resonance.
Good places to find out about new games are the Adventure Gamers and the Just Adventure forums.
