Is it possible to beat the game without equipping the Master Sword until the very end? I can't figure out how to damage Phantom Ganon when he's down on the floor without the sword. Bombs don't do shit.

If it were somehow multiplayer, with a bit of a refresher, I believe I could destroy anyone playing Paradroid on the C64.

I was also a demigod at Commando (I'd complete all the waves and have more lives than I started on refresh) and a kickass team player at Wizball (same story). Both of those games were, at the time, considered to be very hard. (Okay, maybe not Wizball, but Commando was)

It was before china took over the gaming gold market. I made a lot of money on d2 as well but never to the extent I did on runescape. I worked with 3 friends running a simple scam and it worked so well we would average between 5-10 party hats a day. Back then they sold for 20-30 million I believe and each million sold for $20 on ebay. In 2 months I had made enough money to buy my own car, and pay the first 2 years of tuition at college.

I sold a large amount of straight p hats to a guy for around $1800 or so and he used a frauded credit card. I had withdrew all the money, deposited it to my bank, all before paypal took it all out of my account. It sent me way into the negatives and they threatened to sue for about 3 months. My uncle works at a collection agency and luckily got me out of all it I never had to pay them a cent. I'm still permabanned from both ebay and paypal however which is really shitty.

I challenge you on that. I played FtG as every nation at least once, and know pretty much every event by memory. When I play it these days, I usually play as an intermediate power and try to keep Europe as historically accurate as I can by intervening. FtG rules though, EU3 is a simple sandbox game that doesn't have shit to do with history.

Used to be the best shooter in the best clan on 1.0. Every game I topped the charts, every clanwar I was atleast in the top 3-5. Funny, we used to have 3 clanleaders, one leader for each combat category; space, shooting and lightsaber-battles. I was slightly better than the shoot-leader, tied with lightsaber-leader and was slightly worse than space-leader.

Shit, you made me nostalgia so hard. I had to quit the clan eventually, because a) my computer at the time couldn't handle it anymore and b) CD was all scratched up because of the computer, couldn't read it properly half the time c) didn't have the time to stay in a clan. Haven't played it for maybe 4-5 years, but I'm pretty sure I can whoop anyones ass, as long as I'm a jet trooper. Best class imho. (Y)

Well I'm talking about the map maker, people made AMAZING D3 maps which had high levels of detail and interactivity. People were literally able to make new game modes and shit with it. I fondly remember one map where there were two giant space ships that had wall turrets and generators, alot like Tribes. You could also "activate" buttons and shit that would make the spaceships fire giant death lasers at each other like in Freespace 2.

But when it comes down to the single player missions and shit, yeah D3 is shit, save a few clever ideas (Subway level)

I would recommend playing it. The game shows you how to do the mission planning at first, but then in the 3rd mission, it makes you create an attack plan and forces you to learn from the mistakes. plus, the stealth in that game is very underrated, and the pure stealth mission where you're not allowed to kill or disable anyone is one of the toughest missions I've ever done.

League of Legends - I quit more than 6 months ago but during my prime I'm pretty sure I was the best Ezreal player on /v/. I sucked pretty bad at all the other characters though. Ezreal was really the only character that genuinely interested me. All the other chars were simple and boring as fuck. Played 700+ hours of this game before I quit. Most of those hours were played on Ezreal.

I'd like to say Garou: Mark of the Wolves but I haven't played it in months and I nearly forgot everything by now.

It really doesn't make that big a difference; I've tested it. Only a few enemies and select boss attacks actually change with the game rank. Even getting 3 complete sets and all 3 Legend items in stage one (pinwheel, fairy, and boss gem) only makes a particular enemy shoot one extra bullet and makes one of Dratrion's attacks shoots 3 times instead of 2.

Yeah, that was me. Don't idolize me; it's nothing to be proud of. There are plenty of fulfilling games to play enough to master, but grindy RPGs are not some of them. PSO is one of the best because skill really can take you far and be rewarding, but at the end of the day it's still really centered around collecting stuff. The dair meteor is horrible though. You have to be right inside the enemy for it, and it's really weak, about the strength of Falco's SideB meteor and thus easily meteor cancelled. You'd have some competition for melee on here, brawl too. There are some decent players that frequent here, I play some of the better players around the Ohio scene and have done okay in some norcal tournaments.

Haven't played melee in a while, but I mained young link, had every fire hilt combo down on any character where he had one on at a couple percents.

Cool, added ya dude. Ye I've put in a ton of hours into MK. I'd say cumulatively across all the games, 5000 hours-- but a good 2000 of them were from MKWii. The pro scene in that was just too good for about 2 years straight, it was really fun to pick up. Not the best game, but fun. MK7, almost none of the pros are getting into it and for good reason, it's shit. Worst iteration so far in my mind. A lot of the great players have basically already dropped it. Let's just keep hopes up for the WiiU iteration to bring back some kind of interesting mechanic that makes it more skill based again to salvage it. MKWii was only good because bikes had a lot of interesting techniques to master. The karts were trash in MKWii, and MK7 is basically MKWii's trashy karts without the bikes, and a worse physics engine.

Oh we're here, we just don't bother with the fightan generals and the arguments that revolve around the game. I play SF4 and Tekken in tournaments as well, people don't really shit talk you playing brawl competitively when there's 3-4 other games in the room you can walk them over to and school them at.

What I hate though is people that pretend like melee/brawl are bigger than they are and have any sort of celebrity. There's this one douche in the kentucky/ohio area that *still* mains metaknight even though unity banned him (which I don't actually care about, my DK wrecks MK's), and she pretends like she's connected and wears a stupid MLG hoodie while going to anime con tournaments and getting 3rd with the S-tier character.

Plus online is harder in general than singleplayer offline, and it has much more challenging quests.

How did you entertain yourself when you needed a break from constant hunting, because at some point that is pretty much all offline mode has to offer over online?

I played a HL2 mod called Dystopia some years ago. Our joke clan won the world and european championship leagues (Stronger Than All and Dystopia Global League), and I was the top fragger.

Sadly there's no evidence left of either because it was such small scale stuff. The prizes never came either. I'm forever bitter.
I don't play any longer though.
