I'd do something similar, but it'd lead to an empty room with a crudely drawn dick on the wall.

You have to perform a specific order of actions in the room to open up a secret passage behind the dickwall that leads to the same exact thing except you get locked in the room and the game autosaves.

Give a predetermined amount of Ammo/arrows what have you for each level.

No extra ammo, Over half the enemies are fake and don't hurt you. (Been playing the idea of a horror game around in my head.)

And you have exactly enough to headshot every enemy once. Don't fuck up.

Inventory items are not separated into different sub-sets, only one giant heap of your shit.

You cannot drop or sell anything, all duplicates are listed separately. You have to equip the items to see the stats

The game is heavily story-based, but every single cutscene in the game is on the developer's Youtube channel. So, when you reach a part where a cutscene should play the game pauses and gives you a link to the cutscene.
Finally, when you reach the final boss to learn a major plot twist the video is unavailable so you're given the link to How to Draw Sanic before you fight the boss.
Also, the credits consist of green text and a purple background.

The game starts at the final boss, but then it works its way towards the beginning of the game, including tutorial which proceeds to tell you a huge amount of shit, including secret moves, extra ways to use this and that, etc.

Because it works backwards, it also gives you hints on how to beat bosses AFTER you beat them.

Random encounters every 1-5 steps
Leveling up takes an enormous amount of XP for just one level.
Extremely tedious battles with no streamlining or autobattle
Only one battle music, a tinny mess that sounds liek a combination of the worst of J-Pop, Justin Beiber and someone straining Rebecca Black through a metal straw.
Level 1 to 2 needs 3500 XP. Smallest monster gives one XP.
Have fun children.
