>writing processWords upon words being written down. Then a module is made with the tools given, dialog is implemented roughly by the writer. Then it goes through all kinds of filtering and fixing by the "real workers", us codemonkeys.
There is talk about how things would flow, but nothing cooperative. We mostly get told how some things should work [most of it is in the dialog file, directives]. Then if we don't know something, we try to ask. If we get a response, yay. If we don't, boo.
The design itself is done before anything is written down, because some characters will get thrown out and some reserved for later, it's mostly about mix-matching what the previous games had.
As you have all seen the bioware story template, that's how it works. They have a template, have a "main goal" and write up around the design.
So bottom line, we don't really work with them. We work along, but not strictly with them. We also clean up their shitty "toolset-retarded" stuff. Some things still remain unseen and unknown, like how some dialog lines wouldn't fire at the right time, etc.
