GoW 1's plot actually made sense. It had a beginning that MADE SENSE, a middle that MADE SENSE and an ending that MADE SENSE. Kratos was an angry manchild who killed his own family by being a power hungry asshole, swears vengeance, and accomplishes absolutely nothing in the end because he is a faggot. Game ends, everyone gets what they deserve, that's all.

I think it would actually be cool if Kratos was washed to the shores of Egypt, as we know that he disappeared into the waters at the end of 3, indicating that he survived.

For example, to the Greeks Ares was basically...Khorne. He did not care from whence the blood flowed, only that it did. They revered him and respected him as a warrior and even to this day there are statues of Ares held in chains in several greek cities, to prevent the spirit of war from leaving them.

Mars was totally different. His was more of a father role. He was honor and duty where Ares was DEATH, DESTRUCTION, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.

Yes, I understand that, I just don't know if enough of the distinction would make for cool gameplay and story elements.

I suppose if all of the gods are reborn as more powerful Roman gods or some shit, it would be pretty cool to see how each has transitioned. And you could make the bossfights slightly reminiscent of the originals, but much harder.

Also, Kratos could become Hercules or some shit. I don't know if there is a Roman counterpart to Kratos, or Styx or any of Hades for that matter.

I don't know, I guess it could all be pretty cool.

Zeus knew that the evils were sealed in the box but he didn't know that Kratos using the box would unleash those evils.

Kratos had to use it to kill Ares in response to him trying to destroy Athens.
