Money is much more important to the game, not just storyline-wise. Reflecting the current economic situation, North hopes to show how one can go from a comfortable living environment to a homeless one with a couple deals gone wrong and a risk that wasn't taken. Unlike Niko Bellic, the protagonist is not a loner. He has more connections than Niko did when he first arrived, since the protagonist is a local. He lived in Los Santos back in the late 80s and then moved to Liberty in '92. The reason why he returned? I guess it was the weather... He also has a family.

He's a half hispanic man who was once part of a crime family in Vice City. He decided to settle down and have kids in Los Santos. He has one son called Kevin De Silva who is your stereotypical CoD player. He's lazy, useless and shouts racial abuse online and is really into FPS games. Kevin does admire his Dad though. 2. Multiplayer will hold 32 people on the Xbox and PS3. I wasn't told how many were able to be on the PC. Just like in RDR, players will be able to form Gangs. These gangs are not ranked through XP anymore, but via Reputation. Instead of gang hideouts, you can do jobs that range from robbing a launderette to breaking into a military base and stealing state-of-the-art weaponry. The Gang leader has much more control over his or her gang by being able to rank members of their gang and setting more specific objectives to specific members of their gang. Gangs can have their own territory but this only applies to areas inside the city of Los Santos 3. The map is about 5x as large as the GTA IV map and the City of Los Santos takes up just under half of this area (so it's a bit bigger than 2 GTA IV Liberty Cities). The map is (like most GTAs) separated into three different sections. 4. Planes are flyable, they range from World War 2 fighter planes to Private Jets. 5. Cars and guns are customisable to an extent, for example, you can customise a gun to have a suppressor on it and you can install nitrous into cars.

You only see the protagonist twice in the trailer. First time is the side of his face and second time is when he is driving a Deceptor (Audi R8). The people robbing the jewellery store are just with the protagonist. He is driving the van ready to get away.
7. Gunfights are more realistic. When you are shooting a gun out of a window of a car, depending on how fast it's going you will have troubles aiming due to shaking cameras.
8. The game is due in May 2013. A more specific date has not been decided because the game is still needing 6 months to be fully developed. They will have a playable demo at E3.
9. Police chases are now way more than either running or driving. Depending on how wanted you are, police may bring out riot shields and flash bangs. When someone reaches 4 star wanted level, there will be a radio warning on some stations.
10. Radio stations now do traffic reports that are actually correct. So if you don't know what route to take, you can check the traffic reports on your phone or the radio. The in-game TV now has many more channels

I just hope there are interesting things around the city. I can't think of a single spot in GTAIV's Liberty City that was particularly memorable or interesting. It was mostly just nondescript city blocks. RDR has tons of interesting little landmarks and locations, even some that the main game and side missions never take you to. You just find them because you wanted to explore. Also, I'm not sure how it would work in a modern, urban setting, but I would really like to see the Ambient Challenges and Stranger missions from RDR make a return.

We know a lot of the rockstar games are influenced by movies and tv. Is it safe to say that V takes influence from Breaking Bad or Weeds? It certainly looks so from what's known so far. Any chance on something related to Sons of Anarchy? Do biker gangs have a small role in the plot like in VC? I had this idea about a mission when a neighborhood one of the safehouses is in goes into flames, possibly plot related and the protagonist has to get something important from there, so there is a time limit to get to the building, however it isn't a timer, but we'd have to rely on radio broadcasts to know how the fire is spreading and get there in time.

Well there be more story affecting mission decisions in the game kind of like in GTA4 where you could kill Playboy or Dwayne, or Derrick or Francis, or Kate or Roman? But on a grander scale?

Is Rockstar trying to push for more interaction with things in the background? Kind of how the houses in GTAIV had things useable like the laptops or TV's. Will that kind of interaction be visible? Also, are we going to get some fucking nice houses? I'm talking better then Playboy X's mansion, high end stuff.

This is a serious question, please don't regard it as a troll. Will you be able to kill your dates? One thing that pissed me off is I like to roleplay a lot in the GTA games and one thing I really wanted to was to pick up the women you could dates on Lovemeet and such, bring em on a nice date. And then bring em to an alleyway and shoot them in the head. But GTA4 wouldn't let you kill em... Will this change in GTAV? I mean it should especially like if you fuck up on a date you can lose the chance to date them again, so I mean why can't you just kill em too?

If you run a red light will cops care? I mean it's always bothered me how you just accidently bump into the back of a cop car and get a wanted level yet you can just ignore traffic laws and cops won't care. I mean at the very least if you run a red light in front of a cop you should get on star and he starts following you and if you bull over and pay like a 10 dollar fine you'll be fine but start a high speed chase and it gets raised to 3. It's something simple and easy that wouldn't really damage gameplay yet help with immersion. Like it could be turned off in missions but would be turned on in free play.

>>133351130 I said before that Young Maylay has done some work for North which will be included in the game. And of course there will be references to the old Los Santos. Big star celebs? No. North is too busy parodying them to bring them in for real.
>>133351132 I think so, in terms of quality to quantity ratio. GTASA may have had more weapons though.

>Finish this thread feel all happy inside >Reread first post Guys, the guy obviously got the idea to pose as a Rockstar employee after the thread started. The thread obviously was to be a "fake rumor" thread kind of like the Brucie and Bernie getting married thread. Hell the thread is even titled "Rumors and Delusions". He also has contradicted himself quite a few times (for example he stated this would be the last major GTA release for a long time, yet said they have plans for a WiiU game already). Also most of the shit in this thread is way to good to be true and just trying to pander to every fans wishlist, and honestly sounds too big for the consoles to handle. I'd love for this to be real... I really do but actually look at it guys...

>>133352639 And why not? Just because it wouldn't be a numbered sequel doesn't mean it wouldn't be major. Hell Vice City and San Andreas were considered major weren't they? Also the WiiU is more power than the PS3 and Xbox so therefore chances are the WiiU game possibly could expand on GTAV and be an even better game. Sounds like that would be major to me.
