THE GAMES WILL BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE STORE AND ALSO BACK TO YOUR DOWNLOAD LIST AFTER THEY HAVE PATCHED AWAY THE EXPLOITS.

So many stupid fucking people. Yeah, it sucks that you can't right this second redownload the game you didn't want to play right now anyway, but it will come back, just like everything else. Fuck, Nintendo didn't even let you redownload your your DSi games when they first came around, and on the 3DS, you couldn't bring them over at all for something like 3 months.

Both Sony and Microsoft still allow you to redownload games you've purchased from the store that aren't available for purchase any longer.

This is an isolated incident where 2 games have exploits on the Vita, and are temporarily being taken down from the service to be patched. They will come right back, and you will be able to redownload them.

I will grant you that a press release would have solved this issue. Sony has a habit of not notifying the public before acting. However, Sony has made countless statements about working to bring all PSP titles to the storefront, and they add more and more over the months.

Local laws override EULA. Revoking a license you paid money for without notice or explanation is illegal here. They can refuse to continue a service due to fraud (they´d need to prove it in court if you decide to sue) or severe service term violation, but recalling a product/license ( which they did, its recalling) without notice or compensation is illegal.

In most of western Europe, such an agreement is completely illegal, and would never ever hold up in court. Should I ever sign such an agreement? Of course not. But the agreement is still illegal.

Just an exaggerated example to try to illustrate the point that no matter how bulletproof you think sony's wording on those agreements is, it still might not be enough.

HOWEVER,
Sony offers the game as a service, of which they are entitled to cancel access to or alter however they see fit based on their EULA provisions.

It gets fuzzy with money involved.
