I'm not going to bother posting any pictures because I'm too lazy and you can easily find everything online, but the Beta versions for Goldeneye 64 were very interesting:
>As seen in multiple promotionals, articles, etc. the all bonds cheat was an actual thing that existed in game. Rare eventually confirmed the rumor as true, citing that it was pulled out of game due to licensing issues from Dalton who did not want to be in the game.
>Many of the weapons were named after either real life counterparts or other sources ie. Blackhawk Magnum, AK-47, Walter PPK, etc.
>During the Runway stage, you were originally supposed to chase a biker, ride the bike and then board the plane like in the movie. I don't remember the exact reasons that Kevin Lobb gave for it's removal, but the bike, biker, and HUD models are all still in game.
>Prior to common belief, Xenia and Oddjob were never in any of the missions. They were replacement bonus characters.
>The Citadel stage from the beta can still be retrieved from the cartridge thanks to SubDrag. The supposed belief was that it was a means of testing the physics engine of Goldeneye.
>As seen in some very early footage, Goldeneye was supposed to originally be an On-Rails shooter. Bond would move on his own and duck, making the player have to aim or reload.
>The beta had the casino stage, in which the player would have to position security cameras, gamble, and confront xenia. However, the creators felt that the stage was too boring and replaced it with the Silo stage. While most of the data is gone, you can still get the casino cameras, casino chips, and gold that would have been used in the stage. Further evidence is seen in the jungle stage, where one of the objectives is to "Settle the Score with Xenia," which wouldn't make sense, as in the current version, Bond hasn't met her before.
