I had this idea /v/, and since you've got good fighting game taste, I wanted to run this by you.
Have any of you played the Naruto: Clash of Ninja games?

Anyhoo, I was thinking that it was possible for that game engine to make a decent fighting game for Avatar: The Last Airbender. I has a few faux pas, like substitutions and super moves, but for the most part it's really good.
The with so many possible combos, a diverse and graceful fighting style could be given to different benders and non-benders and their respective styles.
Iroh could have a lightning redirectrion move
Azula and Ozai could have lightning bending.
Kitara could have multiple styles since hers is a mix of south, north, and blood bending.
Hamma shouldn't be in for balance.
Cabbage Guy joke character. Only one-two's and cabbage throw attacks.
Tai-li could block chi, and bender's attacks could also function as regular kung fu as well.
Non bender could have a few moves that close the distance, and Zuko's breath of fire could melt ice traps.
Suki could be wait and counter based, like Shikimaru
Mei could be a tool specialist
Other characters such as Boomi, Sandbenders, and Dai Li agents could easily be added too.
Just think about it.
