I loved his voice, and everything about the show, and I often even had dreams that he was my dad and we had adventures in the neighborhood. It seems a little silly when I think about it now, but that's how it was. He truly touched my life in a way that I think even my parents would be jealous of. When I learned that he had passed away in 2003, I was heartbroken. It felt almost like I had lost an old friend, one that I hadn't seen in years but thought of in moments of weakness. He was an amazing man, and an amazing actor, that brought joy to the hearts of thousands of children around the world, and I think anyone could respect that.
I think, no, KNOW, that if he were alive today he'd most certainly take one look at me and say... "
