That's got me thinking.
Hey, /v/.
Remember that time you got that shitty game?
Not just any shitty game. The one that stands out. That one game. That one REALLY shitty game.
You remember every moment about it
You read about it in your gaming magazine, or possibly read about it on the internet. You prepared for months, saved up every bit of your allowance.
You begged your parents to take you to the store so you could purchase it. You asked the guy to get it out of the case behind him, and proudly presented your cash to him.
On the way home you opened the case, smelled the new manual, and read through it three times.
You ran inside the house, jammed the cartridge or disk into it's proper place, and powered on your system. You finally began the thing you've lusted for months on.
Twenty minutes later you're left with a tinge of regret and a taste of disgust.
Do you have a game like that?
For me, it was Daikatana on the N64
