>>140671868my problem with the DS's is that there were too many of them launched within a short amount of time
DS->DS lite was something that made sense
DSi I honestly don't know how much dsi exclusive stuff there is
DSi XL, cater to the older audience, they could have very well skipped the DSi, and just made the DSLiteXL
3DS came out just as cell phones were being recognized as a "gaming platform" and while the 3ds has games that are more fun, larger, and better cellphones have the upper hand due to the face that nearly everyone has one and the cost of the games are minimal. There is also no social stigma against cell phone games, which I personally don't care about but some people have their image to worry about blah blah.
The only way I'd be convinces to get a 3DS is if the WiiU turns out great, like much better than anyone expects with actual games and graphics that are on par with the next gen systems from Sony and Microsoft. I don't want to see nintendo carving a niche for themselves this gen. Anyways, back on topic, If the WiiU is good and offers connectibility much like the vita/ps3 then I'd get one. To be able to play 3DS games at home on the tv and then take them with me when I go places would be nice.
On the topic of vita/ps3 I'm really impressed with how they work together like that. It's far too late in the ps3's life cycle for it to make any difference in sales for either of them. Sony has made a lot of really bad judgement calls this gen.
