Let's have a thread about strange/creepy/unsettling/out-of-place things in video games.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, in Shiverburn Galaxy, there are strange, shadowy figures that can be seen in the level's background, staring down at you from atop a cliff. These figures are not seen, or even mentioned, anywhere else in the game.
